Dalgona Coffee: A Recent Trend

Turns out the world is going gaga over Dalgona Coffee currently. This recent trend on social media platforms made me try this recipe at home. And as always, wanted to share with you all.

Dalgona Coffee, is basically cold milk topped with thick and foamy coffee. It is extremely frothy and creamy. With just a few ingredients, you can make such café style coffee at home! All thanks to quarantine!

Take 6 tbsps of refined sugar.

Note: I have used powdered sugar for faster results.

Next, add 6 tbsps of instant coffee.

Note: Just grab whatever is available at home!

Then pour 5-6 tbsps of luke warm water to the coffee and sugar.

Whisk this until it becomes foamy.

Note: I used an electric whisk which gives the best result in this case. But you can do it with a hand whisk as well.

Keep whisking until soft peaks form.

Here it goes! The coffee foam will look something close to this.

Aaaand the foam is ready. This whipped coffee could be stored for 4-5 days! So, you can enjoy this for a long time. Also, this foam could serve 4-5 people easily.

Now, in a glass or mug, add some ice cubes.

Pour some milk of your choice (cow/almond/soy). I used cow’s milk.

Fill 3/4th of the cup with milk.

Fill rest of the glass or mug with the foam.

Sprinkle some cocoa powder or coffee powder or cinnamon powder on top.

And enjoy this rich and delicious Dalgona Coffee at home! Make sure you mix the foam and milk well before drinking this.
